Who operates RSCRevived
RSCRevived.org is an independently operated community website and game service administered by an individual in the United States. For privacy purposes, the individual operator is the controller of personal information processed through the website, forum, and game services. Privacy and account requests may be sent to [email protected].
The operator controls the RSCRevived.org domain and administers its services. This does not claim registered or exclusive trademark ownership in the RSCRevived name. RSCRevived is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, approved by, or operated by Jagex Limited. RuneScape and related marks and game content belong to Jagex Limited and/or their respective owners and licensors.
Information we collect
- Website account details such as username, email address, password hash, login state, and account settings.
- Game character data such as character names, account type, stats, inventory, bank, equipment, rank, subscription status, play time, login/logout activity, online status, and activity logs.
- Policy acceptance records such as the forum account, accepted document versions, date and time, IP address, and browser/device information.
- Security and moderation information such as IP addresses, device/browser information when available, command logs, chat or report records, login records, trade or item records, staff audit records, ban/mute records, and investigation notes.
- Support information such as Discord ticket details you provide, email messages, support request history, name-change requests, service requests, screenshots, and other evidence submitted for review.
- If payments are opened in the future, payment confirmation data from Stripe, including payment/session identifiers, amount, currency, customer email/name when provided, and the forum account reference used to credit a purchase. Stripe payments are disabled during pre-launch development.
How information is used
Information is used to operate the RSCRevived website, forum, game server, downloads, account tools, support credits, and subscription-card system; deliver digital benefits; protect accounts; process support requests; investigate reports and appeals; prevent fraud, exploitation, chargebacks, abuse, and security incidents; enforce rules; improve reliability; and maintain accurate service records.
Payments
Stripe purchasing is disabled during pre-launch development. If it is opened later, card numbers and sensitive payment details will be handled by Stripe rather than stored by RSCRevived. The purchase page and this policy will be reviewed before checkout is enabled.
Discord operational and moderation channels
When the relevant server features are enabled, selected game events may be sent through RSCRevived webhooks to access-controlled Discord channels used by staff or the community. Depending on the channel, this can include character names, timestamps, public or reported chat, reports, staff commands, login and logout notices, trades, ground drops, duel results, bounties, rare drops, achievements, first-item milestones, service health, and security alerts.
Passwords, password hashes, authentication tokens, full payment-card details, and raw private configuration values are not intended for Discord. Network addresses are kept in restricted server-side security records when needed and are redacted from Discord output. Discord retains information under its own policies, and access to RSCRevived staff channels is limited by server roles.
Security logs and moderation records
RSCRevived may retain security, moderation, payment-risk, and staff-action records for as long as reasonably needed to protect the service, resolve disputes, enforce rules, detect repeat abuse, support account recovery, and meet payment-processor or legal requirements.
Policy acceptance records may be retained while an account exists and afterward when reasonably needed to document the agreement in effect at the time, resolve disputes, or meet legal requirements.
Players should not expect private messages to staff, reports, appeals, support tickets, payment references, command logs, or security records to be deleted immediately when an account is closed if those records are needed for safety, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or service integrity.
Sharing
Information is not sold. Limited information may be processed by hosting providers, email providers, Discord, security or fraud-prevention services, and professional advisors when needed to operate the service, provide support, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes, or protect the service from abuse. Stripe will receive payment information only if checkout is opened and a player chooses to use it.
Cookies and browser storage
RSCRevived uses a secure, HttpOnly sign-in session cookie that can remain for up to 30 days, a 30-day world-selection preference, local browser storage for that same preference, and short-lived session storage to restore page position after a same-page action. These are used for authentication, security, and requested website behavior. RSCRevived does not currently use advertising cookies or third-party advertising trackers.
Data security
RSCRevived uses reasonable technical and administrative controls to protect account and service records, including password hashing, access controls, staff audit logs, and server-side payment verification. No online service can guarantee perfect security, so players should use unique passwords and keep account credentials private.
Player choices
You may update your website account email and password through account settings. You may contact support to request access to, correction of, or deletion of account information. RSCRevived may need to verify the requester before acting. Some records may be retained when reasonably necessary for account ownership, moderation, payment history, fraud prevention, security, backups, dispute resolution, or legal obligations.
