September 10 · Rivalry reward improvement

Daily tier brackets make Rivalry rewards competitive and sustainable

  • We are continuing to improve Rivalry in response to how players actually compete. The reward system now recognizes the top three daily players separately within each eligible progression tier.
  • Cash competition begins at Tier 4. Tier 4, Tier 5, Tier 6, and Tier 7 each have their own first-, second-, and third-place rewards, settled once per day at midnight Eastern.
  • Your highest lifetime tier determines your bracket. Advancing during the day moves you into the higher bracket automatically, while Tier 2 and Tier 3 remain part of normal progression.
  • Continuous milestone GP has been retired. This keeps Rivalry rewarding without creating an unlimited GP rotation. Rewards already earned or waiting to be claimed remain safe.
  • We will keep watching participation and the game economy and continue refining Rivalry as the competition develops.
September 10 · Melee loot improvements

High-level melee drops have been strengthened following player feedback

  • We heard the feedback that difficult melee trips were not consistently feeling worthwhile. Rewards across key dragons, demons, giants, hellhounds, and other high-level targets have been reviewed and improved.
  • Direct melee combat now has a clearer reward identity. Players taking the added risk of fighting up close have better access to useful supplies and meaningful equipment drops.
  • Valuable familiar drops remain obtainable. Dragon equipment, Rune equipment, herbs, prayer supplies, and other practical combat rewards remain part of the hunt where appropriate.
  • Cannons remain useful while direct combat receives proper recognition. The goal is to make melee trips more enjoyable without removing other established ways to play.
  • We will continue reviewing real player results and make further adjustments when the evidence supports them.
September 8 · World Map, Friend Tracking, and Quality of Life Update

World map floor switcher, multi-level friend tracking, and connection improvements are now live

  • World Map now features easy floor & level selection. Players can now switch seamlessly between Surface, Floor 1, Floor 2, and Underground layers directly in the World Map viewport without bulky menus.
  • Friend locations track across all floors and dungeons. Green friend markers and name tags on the World Map now accurately follow mutual friends across all dungeon depths, upper towers, and caves.
  • Online player list in boss instances. The ::online player command now properly shows connected players while inside private boss rooms and instances.
  • Seamless reconnects and connection stability. Improved same-IP connection recovery and optimized network session handling ensure smooth gameplay even during brief network interruptions.
September 2–6 · Android and player experience update

A smoother Android experience and more reliable everyday play are now live

  • Android downloads now include the permanent RSCRevived launcher. Android 12+ players should install the same client slot they already use—Client 1, Client 2, or Client 3—from the Android download page. Future signed game and game-data updates then load through RSCRevived without repeated APK downloads.
  • Touch hold-and-choose actions are more dependable. Choosing an action after holding on a world target, inventory item, bank entry, trade or duel option, or interface control now responds more consistently on Android.
  • Android update storage is kept tidier automatically. The app now clears outdated update downloads while preserving the files it needs for a safe launch and rollback.
  • Character appearance is better protected during account changes. Updating account or password details on the website no longer replaces an existing character’s saved appearance.
  • September’s Disk of Returning and recent client improvements remain available. See the September 1 update below for the monthly rare, return-teleport feedback, rare-drop dialog improvements, and more.
September 1 · Disk of Returning and Client Improvements

Disk of Returning channeling countdown and client v1.09 are now live

  • Disk of Returning is now active as the September monthly rare. Players can discover the Disk through non-combat skilling and Wilderness combat drops.
  • Disk of Returning channeling and cooldown feedback have been enhanced. Activating a return now features a 10-second casting countdown. Moving during casting safely cancels the teleport, and a 60-second cooldown timer informs players when it can be used again.
  • Scrollable rare drop dialogs. Rare drop listings now display the full drop tables in clean, scrollable dialog windows.
  • Desktop Launcher updated to v1.09. The launcher features upgraded multi-platform distribution and automatic update detection across Desktop, Web, and Android.
August 26 · KBD, world-first rewards, and website usability update

KBD lairs, first-99 rewards, and the new homepage layout are moving into one clearer player experience

  • The King Black Dragon lair now creates a private room for your fight. Enter the KBD lair below the Lesser Demons and you receive your own combat space, KBD spawns, cannon space, and ground drops.
  • KBD rooms are private by default. This keeps unrelated players, drops, and cannons out of each other's lair experience while we evaluate the safest optional group-room flow.
  • First level-99 records are being tracked as server history. The first regular public player to reach level 99 in each stat is recorded by the game and displayed through Milestones and Achievements.
  • First-99 rewards are being tied to the tracker. Each individual first-99 champion receives a red Christmas cracker celebration with the OG red Party Hat delivered by the game. The first regular player to reach 99 in every active stat earns trophy recognition plus the complete OG Party Hat set.
  • The homepage layout is being reshaped for easier navigation. Kill/death and Wilderness bounty information stay on one side, news stays in the middle, field/duel results stay on the other side, and the Milestones/Achievements area shows the newest server-first records with player avatars.
  • The KBD encounter has been expanded. The lair now supports two King Black Dragons in the room so high-level trips feel more active and worth the journey.
  • Dwarf cannon support has been improved in the KBD lair. Cannon fire works more reliably around the cage area, and active cannon use no longer forces players to pick up and replace the cannon after every full load.
  • High-level dragon rewards have been refreshed. KBD, Black Dragons, Red Dragons, and Blue Dragons now have better supporting supplies, including shark certificates, dragon bone certificates, and cannonballs, with stronger dragons offering stronger bundles.
  • Dragon chase items remain part of high-level farming. Eligible dragons continue to offer rare equipment goals such as Dragon medium helmets, Dragon longswords, Dragon axes, and Dragon square shield halves.
  • NPC drop pages have been updated. The public drop pages now show item names, quantity ranges, certificate/noted status, location notes, and easy-to-read Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very rare categories.
  • The Auction House public feed is cleaner. Listings, buy requests, purchases, fulfilled requests, cancellations, and expired entries now use a more readable Discord layout.
  • Tutorial Island has a clearer skip path. When skipping is available, the starting Guide now offers Skip Tutorial Island directly, and the settings-menu skip option is easier to notice.
  • Recent client updates are included across desktop, Android, and web. Android pinch zoom, held Delete, touchscreen clan actions, scrollable Collections and Milestones, Quick Tools, Ground Filter wording, and teleport loading behavior have all been improved in recent releases.
August 24 · Client and quest quality-of-life update

Android controls and everyday player tools have been improved

  • Android pinch zoom is now stable and responsive. Pinching moves through controlled camera-distance steps, keeps the selected distance after release, and no longer jumps back in the opposite direction at the end of a gesture.
  • Android text editing now handles taps and holds correctly. A single tap of Delete removes one character, while holding Delete quickly accelerates through longer text. The chat-history arrows are also smaller and moved clear of the typed-message line.
  • Ground Filter now says and does exactly what players expect. Show Bones Only displays regular, big, bat, and dragon bones while hiding other ground items. Turning it off automatically resumes your saved custom Ground Filter rules.
  • Collections and Milestones are easier to browse. Both use scrollable, more translucent windows. Collections shows only records earned by your current character, while Milestones shows public world firsts and history.
  • Quick Tools is now scrollable. Collections and Milestones have their own labeled icons in the list, so both tools remain easy to reach even as more options are added.
  • Clan actions are easier to use on touchscreens. Clan member actions and permission choices now use a touch-first selection window instead of relying on a difficult Android right-click menu.
  • Normal teleport and summon transitions no longer replace the world with a black loading screen. The last completed world frame remains visible while the destination finishes loading.
  • Tourist Trap quest progress is safer. Important quest-item handoffs now check for enough inventory room first, and the escape-gate pineapple is only used at the correct quest stage, preventing lost items and stalled progress.
  • Client startup and login recovery are more reliable after a server restart. Desktop players should fully close and reopen the launcher, Android players should let the in-app update finish, and browser players should refresh the Play page to receive the current release.
August 22 · Gameplay update

Quest, agility, and combat fixes are live

  • Hazeel Cult armour delivery is fixed. If your inventory is full, recovered armour is safely placed on the ground instead of being lost.
  • The Taverley Dungeon agility shortcut is restored. Players with level 70 Agility can use the pipe again to reach the Blue Dragon route.
  • The King Black Dragon no longer lowers your Ranged level. Its fire-breath damage remains unchanged.
August 21 · Last 12 hours · Required client and connection update

Ping and connection stability have been corrected

  • Your ping display is now reliable. The client checks the connection about every five seconds using the game's regular heartbeat, then uses several recent successful checks to show a steadier reading. One delayed reply can no longer make a normal connection look like 7,000ms.
  • Short lag spikes get time to recover. The client now needs three missed heartbeat checks before showing a connection warning. Replies from an older check are ignored, and the reading resets cleanly after reconnecting or returning to Android.
  • Movement interruptions are handled more safely. Extra protection was added around brief connection drops during normal movement, ladders, auto-walk, and other transitions so a short delay is less likely to leave a character stuck in an old session.
  • The same required update is live on desktop, Android, and web. Close and reopen the desktop client, let the Android updater finish, or refresh the browser Play page so the client can use the current connection improvements.
  • Quest progress is easier to follow. The quest guide now presents current objectives more clearly, shows completed steps in green and unfinished steps in red, and uses a cleaner readable layout with smoother scrolling.
  • Online staff displays were cleaned up. Moderator, event moderator, admin, and owner symbols and colors now stay in their correct positions without overlapping in the Online Players list.
  • Dialogue menus now accept number keys. Press 1 through 9 to choose a visible NPC or dialogue option on supported desktop, Android, and web clients.
  • Android typing behavior remains protected. Fast and held Backspace, swipe typing, capitalization, message history controls, and Duel mode-switch behavior were kept in the coordinated client release.
August 20 · 7:49 AM EDT · Cross-platform refresh

The latest client refresh is live

  • Desktop, Android, and web are updated together. Desktop release 4360450, Android module 10240, and the August 20 web build are now available. Browser players should refresh the Play page; desktop players should close and reopen the client; Android players should let the signed in-app updater finish normally.
  • The Online Players list is back to its translucent classic-style panel. The game world remains visible behind the list, player names scroll one row at a time, and the Android close action is responsive again.
  • Android resume and update handling is safer. A brief connection interruption is no longer mistaken for a normal logout, reducing unnecessary updater interruptions while returning to the game.
  • The NPC Database opens faster. Its drop catalogue is available immediately while live game data refreshes in the background. Search NPCs, items, shops, areas, and rarity bands from the client or the Game Database.
  • Auction House sorting now includes Newest. Cycle through price, name, unit price, newest listings, and expiring-soon listings to find the right market entry faster.
  • Auction House click response is protected against duplicate taps. Scroll releases and repeated Android touch callbacks can no longer select a listing, change the sort twice, or trigger the same action twice.
  • Character Tracker activity is easier to read. When records are available, your private tracker separates items seen, items picked up, and shop purchases, with saved totals and first/last activity times. This information remains visible only to the owner of the linked character account.
August 18 · Client and server update

A smoother client update is ready

  • Desktop release 4360439 is ready. Desktop players should fully close and reopen the client before returning to the game.
  • Android module 10218 remains the current signed module. Android players should allow the updater to verify the installed module; no manual sideload is required.
  • Web build 20260818.183630 is ready. Browser players should refresh the Play page if an older cached version appears.
  • The NPC Game Database now presents rewards as Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very rare. It is designed for quick player-friendly browsing and does not publish exact roll percentages.
  • This update also includes smoother input handling, clearer potion displays, Runecrafting improvements, and general server stability work.
August 16 · 3:02 PM EDT · Economy update

Rune and Dragon content is now available

  • Rune and Dragon drops and shop sales became active for farming on August 16, 2026 at 3:02 PM EDT. Players can now obtain the standard items from the NPC drop tables and shop inventories shown in the Game Database.
  • Where to look: search for an item or NPC in the Game Database. Examples include Rune long sword, Dragon medium Helmet, Dragon sword, and Dragon axe. Each result shows the relevant drop band, shop, NPC, and area.
  • Known shop sources include Dragon sword from Jakut in the Underground, Dragon axe from Helemos in Taverley, and Rune equipment from Scavvo. The NPC drop tables also show the listed Rune and Dragon rewards by NPC.
  • Wilderness sources carry normal Wilderness risk. Use the Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very rare categories on each NPC page.
  • Open Rune source lookups Open Dragon source lookups
August 13 · New player tool

Character Tracker is now live

  • Logged-in players can now keep their character progress in one private dashboard. Review saved skills and XP, original-quest progress, NPC kill history, PvP and duel records, and personal goals in one place.
  • Every game account linked to your website login is listed in the tracker. Switch between characters without leaving the page, then return later through Account → Character Tracker.
  • Item sightings and pickups are separated when the character activity ledger has records. Sections only show data that has been saved for that character.
  • Log in to access Character Tracker from the Account menu.
August 13 · Public database

Wilderness NPC drop lookups are now all in one place

  • The Game Database brings Wilderness rewards and where-to-find information together. Search NPCs, items, shops, IDs, and drop properties, then open each result to see available rewards without checking separate lists.
  • Drop entries are grouped into Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very rare categories.
  • Present rewards are described by item name and category. Common examples include coal, ores, logs, flax, bow strings, rune essence, combat runes, food, arrows, bones, limpwurt roots, and red spiders' eggs; uncommon examples include larger supply bundles and caches; rare examples include special event rewards.
  • Open Wilderness NPC drop lookups
August 13 · Latest update

A smoother, more stable RSCRevived is taking shape

  • Over the last 48 hours, we have continued a coordinated stability pass across the game, website, server, desktop client, Android client, and web client. The goal is a cleaner source and a smoother experience as the world gets busier.
  • Present rewards are being shown in clearer public categories. Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very rare rewards remain easy to understand, and larger supply bundles remain less common.
  • High-level Wilderness encounters (combat level 70+) and Chaos Druids have received a drop-table balance review. The public guides describe rewards with Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Very rare categories.
  • Already released: account-saved client settings, Android keyboard and Back-button improvements, Skill Island return and scheduling fixes, Highscores and world-map presentation updates, Runecrafting corrections, Present opening, event tools, NPC safety improvements, and several everyday quality-of-life fixes.
  • Currently being tested: a more usable Ground Filter with scrollable NPC-drop choices, the NPC Database in Settings, smoother chat and social interactions, more reliable bank and preset workflows, better event scheduling, and more consistent NPC timing across desktop, Android, and web.
  • Skill Island remains simple for players. Event announcements and event travel presentation are being streamlined so the player experience stays familiar.
August 9 · 11:51 PM EDT

Required client and server update is live

  • This is a required client update. Desktop and Android players should fully close and reopen the game; browser players should refresh the Play page. The live releases are desktop 4360417, Android module 10187, and web build 20260810.012548.
  • Personal client settings now follow your account across supported desktop, Android, and web clients. This includes Ground Filter, XP display, batch options, and related interface preferences. Saved usernames and passwords remain device-local and are never synchronized.
  • Android text input and Backspace handling were hardened across chat, Bank search and amount prompts, Trade, Duel, settings, and other supported text windows. Unrelated world and minimap taps no longer request the keyboard, Android Ping is visible again, the Bank header is aligned, and the browser Login button has been repaired.
  • Merlin's Crystal now recovers Morgan Le Faye's early quest conversation correctly after the Sir Mordred encounter. Skill Island altar excursions also keep their correct event return state through exits, event closure, and reconnects.
  • All normal and Ironman players can open Presents directly from inventory. Future Wilderness Present drops use normal visible ground-drop pickup tracking. Skilling and Wilderness rare-event rewards were refreshed at 6:11 PM Eastern.
  • Level-ups now trigger a three-burst firework visible to nearby players using the current client. Lottery winners are announced globally, receive a nearby celebration, and claim prizes through safe bank delivery; official winner history is scrollable from the August 5 opening onward.
  • Several everyday systems were polished. Same-type bones can be buried as a cancellable batch, world-placed ground items respawn faster without changing rocks or player/NPC drops, Magic tree success was improved, and the extra post-success Thieving penalty was removed.
  • NPC health restoration and spawn safety were corrected. Newly damaged NPCs no longer enter the short repeated-heal behavior, selected additional capacity locations load only after safety validation, and unsafe spawn records are skipped.
  • The complete scrollable player guide is available in game. The guide includes event timing, account settings, Ground Filter, Lottery, and other useful player tools.
August 9 · 2:37 PM EDT

Roll Duel fairness double-check

  • As a precaution, we double-checked Roll Duel stake outcomes to make sure every player receives a fair result. The check confirmed that the system is working as intended.
  • Every match is decided entirely by server-side random chance. The game randomly assigns Heads or Tails and uses dice-style random rolls to decide the outcome.
  • Your level, stats, account build, equipment, stake, account type, win/loss history, and previous streaks do not affect your odds. A level 3 player and a level 123 player have the same chance to win.
  • Winning and losing streaks are simply luck. The items at stake determine what the winner receives, but they never influence who wins.
August 8 · 4:37 PM EDT

Presents are live in the current rare events

  • Presents are now available from the active Skilling and Wilderness rare events. These events currently have no automatic end time; players will be told in game when their status changes.
  • All normal and Ironman players can now open Presents directly from inventory. Existing eligibility rules for using a Present on another player remain unchanged.
  • Common: skilling and combat supplies such as coal, iron, mithril and adamantite ore; normal, maple and yew logs; flax, bow strings and rune essence; elemental and combat runes; food, arrows, big bones, limpwurt roots and red spiders' eggs.
  • Uncommon: larger mixed bundles and supply caches for Mining, Fletching, Magic, combat and food.
  • Rare: special event rewards.
August 8 · 4:37 PM EDT

Skill Island altar trips now remember the way back

  • All supported Skill Island Runecrafting altar trips now preserve the location where the player originally joined the event.
  • Using the matching altar exit while Skill Island is open returns the player to Skill Island.
  • If the event closes, or the player logs out during an altar trip, the saved pre-event location is used instead.
August 8 · 4:37 PM EDT

Android keyboard and client updates

  • Android module 10186 now closes a keyboard whose search, amount, social, login or other input field has gone away. Legitimate field changes receive a short handoff so text entry stays smooth.
  • The installed Android shell may still display version 1.01. The game itself updates automatically through the signed module updater; the current game module is release 10186.
  • Android shop and interface taps are protected from becoming duplicate actions.
  • Desktop 4360417 and web build 20260810.012548 are also live from the same current client source.
August 8 · 12:45 PM EDT

Skill Island now follows the Eastern weekend clock

  • The weekend schedule begins Friday at 12:00 AM Eastern Time. Skill Island then alternates between three hours open and three hours closed.
  • The weekend schedule ends Monday at 12:00 AM Eastern Time. Skill Island then remains closed until the following Friday at 12:00 AM Eastern Time.
  • Server restarts preserve the current scheduled phase. A restart no longer creates a new three-hour opening or changes the next clock-based transition.
August 8 · 12:45 PM EDT

Tips and current client improvements

  • Helpful in-game tips are paced five minutes apart. Each tip appears once in Global History so it can be reviewed without repeated copies.
  • Players who prefer not to receive tips can toggle tip messages in settings.
  • Desktop, Android, and web include the latest world-map and Highscores presentation improvements.
  • Android Back-button, keyboard, and app-background behavior has been improved for smoother mobile play, including automatic closure of abandoned text fields.
August 8 · 3:16 AM EDT

Skill Island event fix and bonus time

  • A Skill Island event return issue was corrected. When an event ends, participants are now returned safely to the location they were at before joining.
  • Players received extra event time after the update. Skill Island reopened for an additional three-hour skilling session, and the Wilderness rare event received one additional hour.
  • These bonus windows are temporary, but the events are not gone forever. When each bonus period ends, it is only finished for now; Skill Island and Wilderness rare events will return in future event rotations.
  • Useful “Did you know?” tips are now announced in game. One readable copy is kept in Global History, and Skill Island tips can report whether the island is open or when it will reopen.
August 8 · 1:56 AM EDT

Runecrafting and altar corrections

  • Fire Runes now scale from ×1 at level 14 through ×9 at level 99.
  • Earth Rune multiple crafting unlocks at levels 26, 58, and 78. Law reaches ×2 at level 95, and Death reaches ×2 at level 99.
  • All 13 Runecrafting altars now lead to their correct underground sanctuaries. The corresponding ruins, entrances, and sanctuary locations were corrected on the world map.
  • The Runecrafting Skill Guide was refreshed with the correct rune icons and multiple-rune unlock information across desktop, Android, and web.
August 8 · 1:56 AM EDT

Skill Island expansion

  • Boat and event travel now return players to the correct previous location more reliably.
  • Leaving the island is detected more accurately, including alternate travel methods.
  • Resource locations, permanent ore placements, docks, altar travel, and event countdown reminders were expanded and polished.
August 8 · 1:56 AM EDT

World map and Highscores

  • The location search now covers more shops, item drops, Runecrafting ruins, sanctuaries, and useful destinations.
  • Highscores now make Skill Total easier to compare while still allowing players to view Total XP rankings.
August 8 · 1:56 AM EDT

Everyday quality-of-life fixes

  • Wells now accept more empty refillable containers, including buckets and vials.
  • “Stop Batch When Full” is available in Client Settings and is saved per account.
  • Saved login slots are better separated so one saved account does not replace another account’s slot.
  • Helpful tips begin shortly after the server starts, with one readable copy kept in Global History.
August 6 · 2:15 PM EDT

Smoother Android play

  • Keyboard input, Back-button behavior, app switching, and the Friends-list add prompt were improved.
  • Additional protections were added around mining, agility, and region transitions to prevent client crashes.
August 6 · 9:04 AM EDT

Account-mode experience rates corrected

  • PKER experience now applies correctly to every combat skill: Attack, Defense, Strength, Hits, Ranged, Prayer, and Magic receive ×12 experience, or ×20 for subscribers, while skilling remains ×1.
  • Regular mode remains consistent at ×10 combat and ×6 other experience, or ×14 combat and ×10 other experience for subscribers.
  • True 1X remains ×1 for every skill, and all 19 active skills now follow the selected account mode consistently.
